Centre Manager at Kenmore Hills Early Learning

Centre Manager - Liesl Wharton

e are excited to welcome Liesl as the new Centre Manager at Kenmore Hills Early Learning! Joining us in early December, just in time for the festive season, Liesl brings a wealth of experience, a vibrant personality, and an unwavering passion for Early Childhood Education.

Liesl lives in The Gap with her three children (aged 19, 18, and 14) and is no stranger to the Kenmore community. As a family, they’ve embraced a love for sports, from rugby union and AFL to swimming, hiking, and even cricket. Weekends often saw her two boys fully immersed in rugby, while her daughter dabbled in AFL.

Professionally, Liesl has had a diverse and accomplished career. She spent decades in the fitness industry, where she thrived as a lecturer, masterclass presenter, and keynote speaker. Transitioning her love for education to the Early Years sector, Liesl has held roles as a Room Lead, Kindergarten Teacher, Educational Leader, and Centre Manage. Her extensive qualifications include a Bachelor of Leisure Management (Pre-Service), a Bachelor of Education (Teaching), a Diploma in Early Childhood Education, and an ADA Recreation Study.

Liesl is deeply passionate about supporting families and children in the critical early years of life. Her goal is to help every child start their educational journey feeling confident, enthusiastic, and ready to thrive.

Kenmore Hills Early Learning is well-known for its unique features, including a variety of animals such as chickens, lizards, turtles, and snakes. Liesl is equally committed to ensuring the care and happiness of the centre’s families, children, educators, and even its animal residents.

“I’m thrilled to join the team at Kenmore and can’t wait to meet all our children and families,” Liesl says.

Stop by the centre to say hello – Liesl is always up for a chat and looks forward to getting to know you!
